Carole Viaene is a creative generalist and accomplished professional with a diverse background spanning journalism, HR, education, and leadership roles across the Blue Economy, venture studios, and OKR strategy consulting. She has contributed to high-impact organizations including IESE and Esade Business School, Fortune 500 companies, and leading tech firms—demonstrating a unique blend of adaptability, transferable skills, and cross-sector influence.
Currently, Carole serves as Strategic Partnerships Lead at Open Earth Foundation, advancing open source climate tech solutions for cities. Previously, she worked as a freelance consultant for the Nature Strategies team at The Biodiversity Consultancy, guiding multinational corporations. She also led partnerships at Ocean Ecostructures, a nature-based climate tech start-up focused on regenerating marine biodiversity through biomimicry, AI, and ROV-powered monitoring.
Her career includes global initiatives such as a temporary director role at the World Ocean Council. Carole is also a published author, public speaker, and fluent in English, French, Dutch, Catalan and Spanish.
An ICF-Certified PCC Coach with over 3,000 hours of coaching experience, Carole integrates empathy, ethics, impact, and well-being into her work. As an alumna of the Norrsken Impact Accelerator, she enjoys mentoring early-stage ventures focused on positive environmental and social outcomes.
